This overview highlights the Commission’s: (i) publication of its annual report on taxation 2025; (ii) adoption of an implementing regulation to facilitate the automatic exchange of tax information under DAC9; (iii) presentation of the 2028-2034 budget proposal, which includes a lump-sum corporate contribution as a new resource; (iv) and the European Economic and Social Committee’s support of the tax simplification agenda, among other recommendations.
