Employee Share Schemes – Benefiting the Start-Ups

In June 2015, the Tax and Superannuation (Employees Share Schemes) Act No. 105 of 2015 on Employee Share Schemes was legislated, replacing the old rules contained in Division 83A of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997 (ITAA 1997). This article looks at the changes brought about by the new law.
