“Piercing the Corporate Veil” in Taxation Matters: India and International Transactions with Special Reference to the Direct Tax Code 2010

The authors, in this article, consider whether the Direct Tax Code 2010 will repair or harm the existing financial structure of the Indian economy and ask if certain transactions will be regarded as tax avoidance, as Indian tax law, at present, does not contain any generic provisions relating to anti-avoidance.
