Taxing Paradise – Tax Reform in Pacific Island Countries

The Pacific Island Countries (PICs) face significant fiscal challenges, which were further compounded by the recent financial crisis. Although a global economic recovery appears to be underway, the budgetary pressures remain, making revenue collection all the more important. The authors discuss the options open to the PICs that would enable them to improve revenue collection.
