Technology is rapidly reshaping modern tax practice, fundamentally transforming how tax professionals work and deliver value. For tax professionals, this dynamic creates both significant opportunities and complex challenges. Staying up to date now requires not only strong technical tax knowledge, but also a solid understanding of data, automation and emerging technologies, as well as the legal and ethical frameworks governing their use.

Bridging tax and digital skills

The Professional Certificate in Tax & Technology is a comprehensive programme designed to bridge the gap between traditional tax expertise and the digital skills required in modern tax practice. It combines theoretical and conceptual insight with practical application, equipping participants to work confidently with data analytics, automation and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence in a tax context.

An online, self-paced learning experience

Delivered fully online, the programme can be completed at your convenience.* Its structure follows a big data approach, covering key tax‑technical aspects of data collection and transfer, storage, analysis, reporting and forecasting, as well as (automated) data‑driven decision‑making. Throughout the programme, particular attention is paid to relevant legal, regulatory and ethical frameworks, especially regarding developments at OECD and EU level.

Practical use of automation, AI and LLMs in tax work

Participants gain insight into automated auditing, tax compliance and data protection, as well as the use of statistical models and AI‑driven tools in tax determination. The programme also explores the practical application of Large Language Models (LLMs), including their role in optimising tax processes and supporting professional decision‑making. Project and change management best practices are integrated to support the successful implementation of tax technology in professional practice.

With its broad and forward‑looking approach, this certificate is ideally suited to tax professionals worldwide who want to strengthen their expertise at the intersection of tax and technology.
